Overview

Description
Siena Retreat Center is pleased to join the Center for Gerontology @ Concordia’s Distinguished Speaker Series in introducing Mary Dunn, the speaker for our June retreat, “Your Legacy, Your Story: Reflections into the Heart of Who You Are.”

The inevitable changes that happen as we age often leave us wondering if we’ve made a difference and will be remembered for the things that have mattered most in our lives. We begin to think more deeply about what we will leave for future generations, and the kind of impact we want to have on others. Join us Tuesday, December 9, 12pm  CT, to hear how “Your Story, Your Legacy” is leading transformational conversations on finding meaning and purpose through life transitions. Learn about the future weekend retreat, where we explore the values that have formed us and the stories that have shaped our legacy, and discover the gifts our lives hold for others. Simple steps for end of life planning are offered.

About the Facilitators

Mary DunnMary Dunn

As a distinguished leader in the nonprofit sector, Mary has pioneered programs to engage people – just as they are – in courageous and hopeful change. While serving as CEO of a charitable foundation, she developed a groundbreaking grassroots initiative to help people build stronger, healthier communities in the rural towns of New Mexico. The program continues changing lives today. In communities large and small, organizations, and retreat settings, Mary has been moved by the transformative power of inviting people into conversation about life’s meaning and purpose. Integrating all she has learned from her work with the wisdom of her intuitive heart, Mary is now dedicated to the spirituality of conscious aging and legacy. She created The Legacy Workshop and Your Story, Your Legacy: Reflections into the Heart of Who You Are, and leads these workshops and retreats in the U.S and Canada. In Mary’s words, “As human beings, we long to be seen and understood for all that we are and what we are becoming. We want to know that the value we are creating in our lives will be meaningful to others – that it will be a gift, our true legacy to future generations.”
