Description
Deep in your soul is the story that wants to be told. Surrounded by the beauty and serenity of Siena Retreat Center, this transformative weekend invites you into reflection, connection, and self-discovery as you explore the wisdom and meaning gathered through your life’s journey. Guided by the wisdom teachings of Meister Eckhart, Fr. Thomas Keating, Fr. Richard Rohr, and the spirit of John O’Donohue, we will create space for sacred listening, guided meditation, and thoughtful reflection on the stories that have shaped who you are — and the gifts that may become your true legacy to future generations.
Together, we will explore questions like these, allowing insights to arise from within:
✧ Who am I if I step away from what I’ve been doing?
✧ How do I want to live, and who will I be for others?
✧ What meaning am I creating in my life that is shaping my legacy?
In an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, participants will be invited to share authentically and honor one another’s unique stories, becoming mirrors of each other’s light and encouraging one another toward a more radiant life.
You also will come away with practical guidance and essential tools for planning ahead with clarity and care. We will cover ways of protecting assets, distributing property, documenting decisions, and communicating end-of-life wishes with loved ones — helping you approach these important conversations with greater peace and confidence.
Siena Retreat Center is pleased to join the Center for Gerontology at Concordia University Chicago’s Aging Insight Forum in introducing Mary Dunn, the speaker for our June retreat, “Your Legacy, Your Story: Reflections into the Heart of Who You Are.”

“As human beings, we long to be seen and understood for all that we are and what we are becoming. We want to know that the value we are creating in our lives will be meaningful to others – that it will be a gift, our true legacy to future generations.” —Mary Dunn
