Overview

Description
This contemplative retreat offers participants the opportunity to meet daily with a spiritual guide and share Evening Prayer with the retreat group. Solitude, nature, and silence enhance these sacred days.

During registration you will be asked to indicate your first and second preference for the spiritual guide who will accompany you throughout the retreat. We do our very best to honor these preferences. If we are unable to place you with your first or second choice, a staff member of the retreat center will reach out to you.

Dates and Details
Sunday, June 15, to Saturday, June 21, 2025
The retreat begins at 3:30pm on Sunday and concludes with the noon meal on Saturday.
The cost of this retreat is $795 which includes the $150 non-refundable deposit, spiritual guidance appointments, overnight accommodations and meals.

About the Facilitators

Lorrita Verhey, SSNDLorrita Verhey, SSND

Lorrita Verhey, SSND, has been a teacher and Family Nurse Practitioner with immigrants and persons with mental illness. She also ministered in Ghana, Africa. Lorrita completed the Spiritual Guidance Training Program at Siena and an internship at Claret Center in Chicago.

Ruth HoenickRuth Hoenick

Ruth Hoenick is a spiritual companion and retreat facilitator. Ruth received her spiritual guidance training at Siena Retreat Center. With a master's degree in Education, Ruth taught English along with spiritual direction in Vietnam, Thailand, and Ethiopia. She is on the Board of Directors at the Jesuit Retreat House in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and recently walked the Camino Ignaciano in Spain. She has been actively working the 12 Step programs of AA and Al-Anon in her life since 1986. Ruth lives in Wisconsin and is a wife, mother, and grandmother.
