Centering Prayer

“Centering Prayer consists in learning to withdraw attention from our thoughts - those incessant creations of our busy minds - in order to rest in a gentle, open, attentiveness to divine reality itself.”

- Cynthia Bourgeault

Offered virtually via Zoom

Centering Prayer is a method of silent, contemplative prayer. Start your day by praying with others—20 minutes of silent centering prayer, followed by 40 minutes of reading and discussion on prayer or spirituality.

“We find that belonging to a supportive community of other ‘Centering Pray-ers’ encourages us in our daily attempts to be faithful to prayer and/or meditation,” remarks a participant.

Centering Prayer is being conducted virtually.  A link will be emailed to you after your register.  You must register by 12:00noon on the Wednesday before the Centering Prayer session.

Every Thursday (except November 24 and December 22 and 29, 2022)
7:00 – 8:00am
Freewill offering accepted.

Peter Johnson is a retired teacher, school administrator, and professional coach.
