Centering Prayer

“Centering Prayer consists in learning to withdraw attention from our thoughts- those incessant creations of our busy minds- in order to rest in a gentle, open, attentiveness to divine reality itself.”

- Cynthia Bourgeault

Centering Prayer is a method of silent, contemplative prayer.  Start your day by praying with others—20 minutes of silent centering prayer, followed by 40 minutes of reading and discussion on prayer or spirituality.

“We find that belonging to a supportive community of other ‘Centering Pray-ers’ encourages us in our daily attempts to being faithful to prayer and/or meditation,” remarks a participant.

Every Thursday (except November 22, December 27, 2018; July 4, August 22, August 29, 2019; and when schools are closed due to weather)
7:00am–8:00am
Freewill offering accepted.
