JOB POSTING: Director of Donor and Community Engagement

The welcoming community of Siena Retreat Center provides retreats and programs that renew lives, deepen holistic spirituality, and sow seeds of justice and compassion in our world. A ministry of the Racine Dominican Sisters since 1966, Siena Retreat Center serves several thousand people annually through diverse retreat and program offerings and services.

The Opportunity

Siena Retreat Center is seeking a highly motivated communicator and successful fundraiser to lead the organization’s donor and community engagement initiatives. Primary responsibilities include identifying and cultivating donor relationships; soliciting donations to meet development goals; and organizing the annual fund appeal and fundraising event(s). The Director of Donor and Community Engagement seeks out opportunities to publicize Siena Retreat Center and collaborates effectively to ensure the publicity and marketing of the Center.

Successful Candidates

Successful candidates have a minimum of three years’ proven experience in nonprofit development or fundraising; prior experience in communications or marketing; a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field; superb interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to cultivate respectful donor and community relationships; outstanding organizational skills; and a passion for making the world a more just and compassionate place through the types of programs and services offered by Siena Retreat Center.

Position Summary

This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position involving some weekend and evening hours. Compensation includes competitive salary and benefits package.
