Description
 This 10-week book study group will focus on Brené Brown’s book Rising Strong: How the Ability to Reset Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead. We will meet in person and on Zoom to explore each of the Ten Guideposts© for deep personal reflection to see how they relate to our own lives, fostering growth and connection. Includes group discussions, small group conversations, and opportunities for individual sharing. Sharing is optional and kept confidential.

In Person Sessions
Sundays, 1:30pm – 3:00pm
January 25th and March 29th, 2026

Virtual Sessions
Wednesdays, 7:00pm – 8:00pm
February 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th
March 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th

This is a hybrid retreat with some sessions offered via Zoom. A basic familiarity with Zoom is expected of participants.

(all levels include registration for all in-person and zoom sessions as well as a copy of the book, given at the first session in January)

If cost remains a barrier even at the lowest level, you are invited to complete our Scholarship Request Form. While we cannot guarantee that all requests can be fully accommodated, and we do ask that you contribute a portion of the fee, we will do our best to assist as many participants as possible within our available resources.

About the Facilitators

Gabriela Caballero-MoersfelderGabriela Caballero-Moersfelder

Gabriela Caballero-Moersfelder MS, LPC, CDWF, has worked as a bilingual/bicultural Psychotherapist, Pastoral Associate, Spiritual Director, and Community Volunteer for over 30 years. Gabriela holds master’s degrees in psychology and theology and was trained by Brené Brown as a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator. She is a graduate of Siena Retreat Center’s Spiritual Guidance Training Program. Currently, Gabriela is part of a team teaching a Grief Course at the University of Wisconsin—Madison Adult Continuing Education Department.
