Overview

Description
We are living through massive shifts globally and locally. People today are connected technologically like never before, yet our very awareness of that interconnectedness is compromised by algorithms that divide and isolate us. The human family has made great strides in pluralism, peace, and healthy living, yet wars and the rise of the ultra-wealthy seem poised to shift the balance of power toward autocracy.

Living in this moment in time takes courage. It also takes community. Join us for a morning of coffee (or tea) and facilitated conversation.

Sunday, August 3, 2025: Challenges and Opportunities
Every challenge also provides an opportunity. The challenges to democracy, to the most vulnerable within society, and to our planet seem endless. And, yet, so are the opportunities. Let’s gather to dream of the possibilities that can arise from today’s challenges.

Sunday, October 26, 2025: Protecting the Most Vulnerable
Virtually all faith traditions enshrine precepts to protect the most vulnerable in society. Who are the most vulnerable in our society and how are we caring for them?

Sunday, January 18, 2026: From Clicks to Creativity
Cell phones have trained our brains, in part, to seek information. Yet information is only one of the most basic ways we engage our brains. How are we using our brains and our whole selves to understand, evaluate, create, and so much more?

Sunday, March 15, 2026: Where Have We Been and Where Are We Going?
Historians trace large movements in history, such as the rise of civilizations, the migrations of people, and the “age of trade.” How would you describe the age we live in today? What factors contributed to it and how would you describe the direction we are heading?
