Claire Anderson holds an Ecumenical Doctor of Ministry degree from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and is the Executive Director of Siena Retreat Center. She draws on global experiences, including living in Poland, in her exploration of cosmology, science, and faith.

Nikki Madisen

Arrangements Coordinator

Nikki Madisen schedules groups and private retreats. She is a Racine native whose connection with the Siena Center began while attending retreats through St. Catherine’s High School and continued as she volunteered in the dining room. Nikki draws administrative coordinating experience from many years working with a local Montessori School. In her free time, Nikki enjoys participating in local craft fairs and spending time outdoors.

Diane Poplawski, OP

Diane Poplawski, OP, a Racine Dominican, has been active in vocation ministry at national and community levels and has ministered with Native Americans. She has a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies and is a graduate of Siena Retreat Center’s Spiritual Guidance Training Program. Diane currently works at Siena Retreat Center in the Development Office. Diane resonates with Native American teachings and the prophet Micah’s invitation to “act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly....”

Pat Shutts

Program Leader and Spiritual Director

Pat Shutts has a BA in Theology and an MA in Pastoral Studies, and received certification in spiritual guidance from Creighton University. Pat brings her gift of compassionate listening and openness to the Spirit, and companions seekers as they acknowledge and discover God's presence in all of life's journey. She loves art, play, and prayer.
