Overview

Poet David Whyte wrote, “Grief is its own cure.” This retreat is for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one, either recently or long ago. We will share our stories and build understanding of our experiences using findings from The Grieving Brain by Mary-Frances O’Connor, PhD. We will also explore how to ride the erratic waves of grief, identify what can sabotage our healing and gain tools for moving forward, celebrating Divine Love that sustains us as we restore a meaningful life. Retreat facilitator Vicky Curtiss will draw on her experience as a pastor, grief companion and widow whose husband died in June 2022.

Friday, March 22, to Sunday, March 24, 2024
The retreat begins on Friday at 7:00pm and concludes with the noon meal on Sunday.
