Overview

For many military men and women, life, including their spiritual life, has been forever changed by the experience of military service, deployment, and mobilization.

Coming Home is a FREE retreat designed to help veterans and current military members come to spiritual healing and reconciliation with God and with one another. This program is about spirituality, not religion, and it specifically addresses the issue of Post-Traumatic Spiritual Stress Disorder.

Significant others are also invited. Registration is limited to 15 participants.

The retreat begins at 6:00pm on Friday and concludes with the noon meal on Sunday.

About the Facilitators

Linda McClenahan, OPLinda McClenahan, OP

Linda McClenahan, OP, served as an Army communications Sergeant with the 1st Signal Brigade in Vietnam. She is now a Dominican Sister and semi-retired Licensed Professional Counselor whose ministry involves helping veterans with trauma.

Tim SullivanTim Sullivan

Tim Sullivan is a combat Veteran who served with the US Army in Vietnam in 1969/1970 as both a courier and at a Signal Corps listening site near the village of Phu Hiep at the US Army airfield in Tuy Hoa. He is currently editor and publisher of Neighbors Media publishing local magazines and county media sites in the Chicago area.
