Visio Divina: Praying with the Eyes of Faith

This retreat has been cancelled.  We hope to offer this sometime in the future.

Many of us have heard of Lectio Divina, a “divine reading” of the Scriptures in a contemplative way.  However, Visio Divina, or “divine seeing,” can open our eyes to a new relationship with the Spirit within and around us.

Visio Divina combines the traditional process of Lectio Divina with the visual arts. It invites us to notice, connect, discern, and respond to the sights all around us—finding inspiration in a sacramental way.

In this reflective and participatory evening retreat, images from across time, geography and cultures will be the focus.  Come be surprised and transformed by a God who is never limited or tied to one means of communication with us.
