St. Catherine of Siena: Standing Up for Truth in Her Times (Becoming Mystics and Prophets series)

“ Preach the Truth as if you had a million voices. It is silence that kills the world.”

- St. Catherine of Siena

St. Catherine of Siena (1347-1380) lived only 33 years, yet she influenced her times by speaking out about injustices she saw in her country and in her Church.  For Catherine, love of God meant action and standing up for the truth she knew in her heart.  Catherine wrote to the Pope; rescued an incarcerated man from execution; and served the poor, the sick, and the imprisoned.  She saw her life as righting the wrongs she encountered for the love of God.

We are happy to welcome Nancy Murray, OP, who will portray Catherine and her radical life of being both mystic and prophet.

November 27, 2017
Presented twice: 10-11:15am and 6:30-7:45pm.

Nancy Murray, OP, is an Adrian Dominican.  She travels across the country and throughout the world portraying St. Catherine of Siena, the 14th century saint, patroness of the Dominicans and Doctor of the Church.  Through her one-woman show, Sr. Nancy transforms herself into the colorful, strong, passionate, and enthusiastic woman of God, Catherine, before our very eyes.

A freewill offering will be accepted.
