Silent Directed Retreat II

One-on-one sessions with a spiritual guide, Eucharistic liturgy, and common evening prayer are offered daily during this weeklong retreat. Participants are invited to journal, read, walk the beautiful Siena grounds and labyrinth, and be refreshed and renewed.


Sunday, August 14, to Saturday, August 20, 2022
The retreat begins at 3:30pm on Sunday and concludes with the mid-day meal on Saturday.
Cost of $545 includes $60 non-refundable deposit, spiritual guidance appointments, meals, and overnight accommodations.

Please register by Friday, July 29. By registering early, you assist us in providing quality organization and administration of our retreats and programs. We want to be fully prepared for your arrival with adequate staffing, supplies, room arrangements, and meals. We make every effort to avoid canceling retreats and programs. However, most of these events require a minimum enrollment to move forward. Registering early can help assure that the retreats and programming you look forward to participating in can happen. Please note that some spiritual guides have a waiting list.

Deposits can be paid online at time of registration, by mailing a check made out to Siena Retreat Center, or by calling the front desk at 262-898-2590 to pay with a credit card.  Deposits must be received to complete registration.

Eileen Brynda, OP, is a Dominican Sister of Sinsinawa. She holds graduate degrees in Education and Pastoral Ministry (Boston College). Her ministry has been in schools and as pastoral associate in parishes. Having studied the scriptures both formally and informally, she often has given days of reflection on various Biblical themes. Her training in Siena Retreat Center’s Spiritual Guidance Training Program has also prepared her as a spiritual guide and retreat leader.

Rev. Ron Gramza is a priest of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and a native of Racine County. He has served as a priest for over 40 years. Through the years, he has been accompanied by wonderful spiritual guides and has engaged in many retreats, including 30-day Ignatian retreats. Ron believes that, “the best part of ministry is recognizing that we are companions on the journey.” Ron joins the retreat team as liturgical presider and one of the spiritual guides. There is currently a waiting list for this spiritual guide.

Nancy Raboin, PHJC, is a member of the American Province of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in Donaldson, Indiana. Presently she ministers as a spiritual guide and artist, exploring the sacred relationship between spirituality and creativity. Her background includes art therapy and trauma therapy. There is currently a waiting list for this spiritual guide.

Nancy A. Sell, OSF, is a School Sister of St. Francis. With graduate degrees from Andover Newton Theological School in Massachusetts and Washington Theological Union in Maryland and training in spiritual direction, she has been involved in various aspects of ministry for over 45 years, including parish, seminary, jail, and religious community ministry. She is currently involved in spiritual direction, chaplaincy and retreat ministry. There is currently a waiting list for this spiritual guide.
