"Raising Mom" 4 Keys to Parenting as a Spiritual Practice

“Heeding the invitation to pay attention to all of the ways in which parenting challenges us to grow spiritually is actually central to good parenting.”

- Nicki Nelson

When we become parents we often believe that our most important task is to raise our children well.  And yet, parenting as a spiritual practice recognizes that our role as parent offers us unique opportunities to raise ourselves into more present, compassionate, and self-aware individuals—key components of our spiritual life.  Remarkably, it also helps us to decrease family stress and transform our children’s behaviors in ways that actually strengthen our relationship with them.

This day-long workshop for both mothers and fathers will offer an introduction to parenting as a spiritual practice while also drawing upon concepts from Parent Effectiveness Training™.

You may want to bring a journal for personal reflection.

Saturday, February 29, 2020
