Nurturing Life's Blessings, 2023

Embrace and nurture life’s blessings, all of them, in a retreat tailored to your individual encounter with the Holy. This retreat for women includes a daily meeting with a spiritual guide, time for solitude, and the opportunity to gather with others for prayer.


Sunday, July 16, to Saturday, July 22, 2023
The retreat begins on Sunday at 3:30pm and concludes with the mid-day meal on Saturday.
Cost of $595 includes $65 non-refundable deposit, spiritual guidance, overnight accommodations, and meals.

You can register and pay online by clicking the register button on the right, by calling the front desk at 262-898-2590 with a credit card number, or by mailing a check made out to "Siena Retreat Center". Payment must be received to complete registration.

Please register by Monday, June 26. By registering early, you assist us in providing quality organization and administration of our retreats and programs. We want to be fully prepared for your arrival with adequate staffing, supplies, room arrangements, and meals. We make every effort to avoid canceling retreats and programs. However, most of these events require a minimum enrollment to move forward. Registering early can help assure that the retreats and programming you look forward to participating in can happen.

Miriam Brown, OP, a Sinsinawa Dominican, is a spiritual guide, retreat facilitator, presenter on current spirituality themes, and was a team member of the Center’s Spiritual Guidance Training Program for over ten years. She has a master’s degree in Religious Studies from Fordham University and directed an ecumenical organization for 13 years. Miriam has an eye for the Spirit’s movement in the world and flowing in each person’s precious life. There is currently a waiting list for Miriam Brown.


Mary Therese Johnson, OP, is a Dominican sister who serves in pastoral care with her sisters in Siena Assisted Living community, and at St. Dominic Villa. Mary Therese practices mindfulness which helps her be more attentive to the present moment and the workings of the Holy Spirit. She invites companions to tap into their own life experience and inner wisdom as they seek a deeper spiritual life.

Marianne Kempa, SSND, a School Sister of Notre Dame, is currently serving as a Minister of Pastoral Care at the SSND retirement and Health Care Center. Marianne is a graduate of Siena Retreat Center’s Spiritual Guidance Training Program and continues to offer spiritual guidance as she welcomes companions to embrace the ‘star within’ and celebrate God’s abundance. She has a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, as well as degrees in Administration and Education.

Diane Poplawski, OP, a Racine Dominican, has been active in vocation ministry at national and community levels and has ministered with Native Americans. She has a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies and is a graduate of Siena Retreat Center’s Spiritual Guidance Training Program. Diane resonates with Native American teachings and the prophet Micah’s invitation to “act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly....”


Linda Wieser, OSF, a Franciscan sister, is a holistic body therapist, spiritual guide, and Certified Personal Life Coach, who focuses on the whole person, integrating the healing of body, mind, spirit, and emotions. She holds a master’s degree from Creighton University and has done extensive study in body therapy and spiritual guidance. There is currently a waiting list for Linda Wieser.
