Interspirituality in East-Central Europe

“Faith is not the clinging to a shrine but the endless pilgrimage of the heart.”

- Abraham Heschel

The vast territory from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea has been home to a mosaic of religious traditions—including various expressions of Judaism; Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Protestant Christianity;  and Islam—for many centuries.

This day of reflection draws on the prayers and wisdom of these three world religions to provide a virtual pilgrimage through East-Central Europe.

Tuesday, October 1, and repeated Wednesday, October 2, 2019
9:30am—3:30pm
Cost of $45 includes $10 non-refundable deposit and noon meal.

Claire Anderson has a master’s degree in European History (UW—Milwaukee) and an ecumenical doctor of ministry degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, Illinois.  She lived in Poland after the fall of Communism and has made several visits to Poland, including participating in walking pilgrimages.

Claire currently serves as Siena Retreat Center’s Executive Director.
